Once logged onto myUHC.com, members may click “Estimate Health Care Costs” to access the cost estimation tool. This online tool provides estimates to help consumers better understand the costs associated with their treatment options so they can make more informed decisions.
Effective January 1, 2014, a new Maine law requires health care practitioners to maintain a list of their most frequently provided services and procedures and their prices. The prices stated must be those the practitioner charges clients directly when there is no insurance coverage for the services or procedures, or when reimbursement by an insurance company is denied. The law requires practitioners to provide copies of the price list to their clients upon request.
