MHDO Dashboard Reports

Title 22, Chapter 1683 section 8712 requires the MHDO to produce the following reports:

Comparison reports compare the 15 most common diagnosis-related groups and the 15 most common outpatient procedures for all hospitals in the State.

Physician services reports the 15 services and procedures most often provided by osteopathic and allopathic physicians in a private office setting in the State.

The data sources for these reports are the MHDO All-Payer Claims Data (APCD) and the MHDO Maine Hospital Encounter Data.

Comparison Reports

These interactive dashboards report information on the:

  • Top 15 Most Frequent Diagnostic-Related Groups
    The most common inpatient hospital stays—those that require a patient to be admitted—grouped based on the principal diagnosis assigned for the stay.
  • Top 15 Most Frequent Outpatient Procedures
    The most common outpatient procedures in Maine—those that do not require a patient to be admitted to the hospital.

Use the tabs at the top of the dashboard to select a report. Filter the results by Time Period and Payer Type. Roll-over the column headers for more detailed information.

Physician Services

This interactive dashboard presents information on the:

  • Top 15 Most Frequent Procedures and Services
    The most commonly used healthcare services and procedures provided by allopathic and osteopathic physicians in private office settings. Allopathic physicians (MD’s) practice the classical form of medicine to diagnose and treat patients, while osteopathic physicians (DO’s) focus on a more holistic approach diagnosing and treating patients.

Filter the results by Time Period and Payer Type. Roll-over the column headers for more detailed information.
