How Authorized Users Can Access and Work with MHDO Datasets

There are two Options for how Authorized MHDO Data Users can access and work with MHDO datasets

1. Download Files: This is the traditional way authorized data users receive data from the MHDO. MHDO's data vendor, NORC will send an e-mail to the authorized user with the links to the approved data release files to be downloaded into the authorized data user's environment.
   
   Process for the download option: The authorized user will receive an e-mail from NORC with links to the data release files to be downloaded. We use the file sharing platform Accellion to ensure a secure file transfer. If you do not have an Accellion account, you’ll need to register for one. The following instructions will be included in the e-mail: To begin downloading the files you’ll need to click on one of the links. Because this is a secure download you will be asked to enter the address that received the e-mail. If you do not already have a download account, you will receive a second verification e-mail. Click on the link in that e-mail, choose a password, and you will then be able to authenticate and download the files.
   
   
2. NORC Data Enclave: An alternative approach to access and work with MHDO data in NORC’s Data Enclave.This option requires the authorized MHDO data user to obtain an enclave license from NORC. Below is a summary of the options available through NORC and here is a Presentation Deck that provides an overview of the NORC Data Enclave. If this option is selected the MHDO data user will need to complete the MHDO Data Enclave Account Creation Form.

Note: Regardless of the option selected MHDO’s Data access fees apply as described in MHDO Rule Chapter 50.
